Trey Waller

Registered Forester | Rural Real Estate Agent

Trey brings more than 28 years of forestry experience, including consulting forestry, timber procurement, mill operations, timber marketing, land management, and rural real estate. A graduate of the University of Georgia's Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources, Trey worked with Atkinson & Smith Forestry from 1998 through 2004 and purchased the forestry practice in 2020.

Today, ASW Forestry manages approximately 100,000 acres for private landowners and families throughout Middle Georgia and surrounding areas.

A Forestry Tradition Since 1968

1968 - John Atkinson
Established the forestry consulting practice and began serving landowners throughout Middle Georgia.

1994 - Atkinson & Smith Forestry
Billy Smith, who had worked with John, purchased the business and continued the practice as Atkinson & Smith Forestry.

1998 - Trey Waller Joins the Company
After graduating from the University of Georgia, Trey joined Billy Smith and worked with the company from 1998 through 2004.

2020 - ASW Forestry
Trey purchased the business from Billy Smith, establishing ASW Forestry and continuing the relationships and traditions built over nearly six decades.

Many of the families we serve today have been clients for 30 or 40 years. Some relationships date all the way back to 1968.
